Martial Arts

Explore generations of martial arts practice, teaching, competition, and community in the Bowman-Bruchac family, from early traditional martial arts and Pentjak Silat to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, and the schools, students, and communities that grew from that work.

Why do we subject ourselves to this self-imposed paralysis? I am convinced it is not a matter of laziness; rather, it is the fault of our internal censor that incessantly questions our readiness and worthiness.
